Chilean utility company Colbun has signed a 230 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Latin American renewable energy company Atlas Renewable Energy. According to this 15 year agreement, Colbun expects to receive approximately 335 GWh of electricity annually, which is equivalent to the electricity consumption of around 140000 households. The independent facility is expected to be put into operation in 2027.
